Students can access most of the software that is available in our computer labs and computers in the library from home and without having to install the software on their device, or pay for the software. Visit the Virtual Labs section on the Regionals’ Technology Services website with information and instructions. If you encounter any issues, please report them to regit@MiamiOH.edu or complete the support form.

Electronic Equipment Available for Check-out

Rentschler Library has lots of electronic equipment (such as cameras, video cameras, and laptops) available for students, faculty, and staff to check out. More information and details are available on our Equipment You Can Borrow page.

Computers in the Library

Miami students, faculty, and staff can use their Miami Unique ID and password to log in, while Community Borrowers and guests of Miami Hamilton will need to ask library staff to log them in. Access to our public computer stations is first-come, first-served, but priority will be given to Miami affiliates conducting academic research. Please see our “Use of Public Workstations” policy for more information.

Printing and Copying

You can print to Rentschler Library’s print stations from any of our public computers or from your personal devices. Black-and-white printing costs $.10 per page, while color printing costs $.25 per page. Black-and-white or color photocopies can also be made using the printer/photocopier. Miami affiliates can use the money stored on their MU ID cards to pay for printing/copying and can also add money to their MUlaa accounts for printing/copying. See the One Stop for details. Please note that funds may not be available immediately for print usage. You can also scan documents and send them directly to your email or Google Drive at no charge.
