Rentschler Library Resources & Services for Students with Disabilities

Rentschler Library has a variety of resources and services to make your research experience successful.

Assistive Technology

All of the computers in the library have Read&Write, a text-to-speech software, installed on them. One VisioBook is also available for use in the library. There are 3 height-adjustable computer workstations in the library, 2 in the main part of the library and 1 in the library classroom.

Individualized Research Help

Whether you need to start at the basics (like finding a book in the library) or need more advanced help (like finding scholarly articles), you can schedule an individual Research Appointment with one of our librarians. Appointments can be tailored to your needs and your class schedule, so you get one-on-one training that is right for you. Generally, individual appointments are only available Monday through Friday before 5pm, but you can call us at (513) 785-3235 or fill out an appointment request form.

Special Assistance

You can call us at (513) 785-3235 if you need help checking your library due dates, renewing books, or using the library’s website. If you need additional help when dropping off or picking up library items, please let us know how we can best serve you. We want you to get a lot of use out of the library while you are here at Miami University Hamilton!
